My name is Liz Ballesteros, founder of Vital Chapter LLC. I am thrilled to introduce Vital Chapter (a Book + Latte + Refresher shop). I’ve discovered that there is nothing more therapeutic than a good book paired with a cafecito or una agua fresca. I’m starting small with pop-up shops, but the vision is big! My dream is to grow this into a permanent space where our community can gather to read, connect, and recharge.

While this space is designed to be a welcoming home for everyone, I am deeply passionate about expanding the local Latine reading community here in Indiana. I want to create a space that connects our Latine readers while also inviting anyone who is eager to learn more about our culture and discover incredible Latine authors.

A huge part of this mission is bridging the gap between languages. I want to introduce Spanish-speaking readers to wonderful books translated into Spanish, and expose my English-speaking readers to amazing stories translated from Spanish to English. There are so many incredible narratives across both languages, and I want to make sure we aren’t missing out on any of them!

Whether you’re a lifelong reader or just looking for a new hobby, I want this to be a place where we can celebrate diverse stories and find some much-needed “me time” together.
